NYR

Okay, it's time - the dreaded "New Year's Resolutions" post. For too many years, my resolutions have focused on me: weight loss, self-empowerment, yada yada. Now, do I want to lose weight in 2012? Heck yeah! (I mean, who doesn't, right?) And I want to be a better wife, mother and all of that jazz. I really do. But, my resolution this year is to not be so focused on myself and instead to expend more energy nurturing (and, in some cases, repairing) my relationships with family, friends, and acquaintances. It's against my nature to be less reserved and, apparently, willing to let go of eons-old grievances. But I'm tired of carrying that baggage around. So, 2012 is the year of letting byegones be byegones and the year of Friendship. God-willing, these might be resolutions I can actually KEEP LOL. God bless everyone in the upcoming year (and maybe a sports team or two...cough, cough-the Broncos and the Packers - why, yes, yes, I did just do that).
