Death and Resurrection of a Laptop

Colin tried to murder our laptop a while ago. He loves playing with the computer so we try to be vigilant about keeping the laptop closed and the chair put away so he can't get onto the desktop. That boy can wreak total havoc in under 2 minutes where electronics (or anything -sigh-) is concerned. For some unknown reason he felt that the individual keys on the laptop keyboard should be pried off and thrown about the office like confetti. Well, I think James can say that he never really wanted to know what laptop keys really look like. There's 3 layers of tiny pieces that have to go under each individual key, so James spent an hour reassembling the keyboard. Colin permanently broke the enter and control key. Luckily we got the new desktop computer for Christmas so the laptop gets used sparingly. My mantra - I love my kids, I love my kids, I love my kids...

Oh Colin, you are so very cute......sorry he destroyed your laptop but I am sure he didn't mean to, he probably just wanted to see how it worked. He's going to be an engineer or something. Patience, patience, patience is a good mantra too! Until he gets out of this stage can we just come to visit you, to much ammo in my house, LOL!

Ohhhh, Sam did this exact thing a couple of weeks ago. I couldn't believe it! He got about 10 keys off when I caught him and thankfully I was able to get them all back on. We have the exact same laptop. I too had to study the little tiny clips underneath each key to figure out how to get them together. I'm right there with you!
