It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year :-)

For normal people, the first of December, snow, or holiday music might signify the beginning of the Christmas season, but for me, it's the completion of the Festival of Trees tree. This is my third year of decorating a tree for James' company to be auctioned off for charity at the Festival of Trees. I start tossing around ideas for themes and decorations in December, finalize my plans in summer, and then pick out the tree and start shopping. By the end of October, I'm usually in panic mode about it. In November you might hear me asking why I put myself through this torture every year, LOL. Decorating day this year was Sunday, November 18th. James and I, along with James' branch manager, Tom, spent approximately 5.5 hours putting up and decorating this year's tree. The theme was A Royal Christmas - I utilized luxe ornaments and lavish materials in shades of purple, silver, and gold. The tree topper was the piece de resistance and took quite the ingenuity to get it installed securely. Now that it's up and I've had three days to recover, it's time to start thinking about next year's tree. Any ideas?
